The October 9 State of California Cybersecurity Education Summit 2019, one of the premier IT security events in California, has added a new feature to its bustling platform…the California State Government Cybersecurity Awards.
The Summit is presented by the California Cyber Security Integration Center – made up of the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, California Highway Patrol, California Military Department (Cal Guard) and CDT – in cooperation with California State University Sacramento, will recognize individuals and teams in California State government organizations for their outstanding contributions, best practices and works of distinction in information security.
- Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- Information Security Innovation Award
- Excellence in Privacy Award
- Cybersecurity Champion Award
- Rookie of the Year Award
- California State Information Security Officer of the Year Award
The awards program is an opportunity for government IT and cybersecurity experts to honor an individual or team that demonstrates exceptional cybersecurity leadership. The awards presentation will be held at the event venue – Sacramento Sheraton Grand.
