May 10, 2023 – The California Department of Technology’s (CDT) Information Security Leadership Academy (ISLA) is accepting applications from public-sector professionals working in information security. The program will run for nine weeks, starting July 31 and ending September 28, 2023.
ISLA 2023 will offer courses that are crucial for the state’s security workforce. It will provide preparation and an exam voucher for the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification. More information is available within CDT’s ISLA webpage.
The academy selects students from local state, county, city agencies and departments involved in information security. Ideal candidates are those currently in supervisory or managerial positions within the field of information security and aspire to become an Information Security Officer or Agency Information Security Officer within their organization.
Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on May 31, 2023. To be considered, applications must include authorization from the prospective candidate’s Chief Information Officer.
