California Brings Home Two Tech Industry Awards

May 10, 2023—California has been recognized by the 2023 StateScoop 50 Awards, which acknowledge influential individuals and innovative projects in state government IT across the U.S. Recipients were selected through an online voting process that saw more than 3 million votes.  

State Chief Information Officer and CDT Director Liana Bailey-Crimmins received the GoldenGov Award for State Executive of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes her visionary leadership in navigating a new and rapidly evolving technology landscape.  

In addition to the GoldenGov Award, California received the State IT Innovation of the Year Award for the California Department of Technology’s Stabilization Service. This initiative is a collaborative effort among government agencies and departments to improve the stability and scalability of California’s most critical IT systems. CDT’s Stabilization Service performs assessments, prioritizes solutions, and funds stabilization projects. It has completed more than 190 recommendations and conducted nine department assessments to date. View the full list of award recipients here
