Electronic Signatures: A New Feature of CDT’s Procurement Process

CDT’s Office of Statewide Technology Procurement has implemented an electronic signature process for procurements. Several benefits are associated with electronic signatures:

  • They significantly lessen the routing time for contract approvals; meaning the time it takes to approve a contract can now be completed within hours rather than days or even weeks.
  • They enhance security and reduced tampering vulnerability or mismanagement that can occur with paper contracts.
  • Finally, electronic signatures will lower transactional costs normally associated with handling and processing contracts.
