July 12, 2023 – The California Department of Technology (CDT) is now accepting registrations for its virtual Emerging IT Leaders Boot Camp (EITL BC). This statewide training program is designed for entry-level IT supervisors, managers, and leads in the public sector who want to enhance their leadership skills and advance their careers.
The curriculum will focus on the essential skills required by emerging leaders in state government. It places special emphasis on best practices for managing remote or hybrid workforce environments.
This is the third time CDT has offered the program which is tailored for individuals serving in IT Supervisor I or II classifications, as well as those in similar classification levels within cities and counties. It is also suitable for individuals who have recently been promoted to IT supervisory or managerial positions, those working in a lead capacity, or anyone interested in refreshing or acquiring leadership skills. The ideal participants are those with three or fewer years of experience in one of these roles.
The fully virtual program will span four weeks, commencing on August 14 and concluding on September 8. It will include group discussions and exposure to critical concepts impacting government entities. Registration will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested participants can register through CDT’s open registration process.
